GREAT NEWS: After years of anticipation, we are so happy finally to be able to offer this remarkable hybrid training and to welcome our dear friend and colleague, Storyteller Sydney Solis online via Zoom and eventually live in Denmark live. (These dates are still to be released.)
We need the magic of stories in our lives to help us define not only ourselves, but also get in contact with our inner wisdom of problem solving and how to connect to others, the natural world and in the world.
WHAT:
With great pleasure we invite you to an extraordinary, experiential training on how to use stories and yoga. During this 2-day training, you will discover the power of the spoken word and your own voice as a storyteller to apply in many areas. You will gain practical knowledge on how the magic of stories and storytelling help children, teens and their families achieve self-insight, develop and trust their intuition, and connect with their deep wisdom and inner power. The emphasis will be on children from age 3-12, but can be graduated accordingly since the oral skill of storytelling is universal and ageless.
You will learn and practice a toolbox of time tested skills in the oral tradition and the special method of Storytime Yoga, to mix and match as needed to solve problems, change perspective and face life’s uncertainty. This to be shared with the children you work with, live with, and love. Stories tend to spread like rings in the water.
WHY:
The challenges our youth are facing currently are enormous. Children need to be equipped with survival and growth skills like never before. One of the most effective ways to reach them is to create a safe space and an experience of being greeted from the heart, which can touch their soul and motivate them enough to take the risks to change and evolve. Through the healing power of stories, kids imagination will be sparked and nourished so they can realize their full potential now and throughout their lifetime, daring to take chances and find their own way.
WHO:
This training is adapted for all adults; mainly professionals but also parents, who are interested in how to help children and adolescents cope and thrive during our present challenges. Especially geared to those working within therapeutic interventions, social relationships, children’s yoga and mindfulness, self-development, special needs, stress, anxiety, and trauma, etc. Parents can find great joy in learning useful tools to support their child. No experience with the storytelling tradition is needed, but rather a deep determination to support young people in their development and a desire to learn how to tell stories from the heart. Experience with yoga will be a great basis, why this is recommended.
